Westminster Abbey and Big Ben

London has so much to offer with more than its share of mind-blowing antiquity, historic splendor, a shopping hub and artists destiny. Its architecture is absolute eye catching and streets are absolute lively. You can cover most of places in London on foot considering absolute favorable climate round the clock. However, be prepared for untimely showers of rain.

We stayed at Aldgate and moved around the city on Tube which has the best connectivity to all touristy locations. Aiming to watch horse guards parade normally scheduled at 9:00 AM (check timings before you plan to go) at Buckingham Palace which presents a stirring sight as the life guards of Queen dressed in red tunics and white plumed helmets, mounted on immaculately groomed horses ride through the streets of London to change the guard.

We plonked ourselves on a table at an outdoor open cafe  near Trafalguare Square and opted for creamy mushroom soup while we walked in and around Trafalgar square only to retire for dinner at Covent Garden. The choice of restaurants, bars and clubs is legion in London and with so many options you end up regretting for not having tried the missed ones.

The day following we visited the Tower of London crossing the photographic Tower Bridge. Only if you are lucky enough you can spot opening of bridge to allow heavy & tall boats to pass through. Tower of London is a historic castle located on the north bank of River Thames.
